Yes, confirmation of your appointment is required. You will receive a text message reminder before your scheduled time, prompting you to confirm. If you are unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible so we can reschedule your appointment for a more convenient time.

For your first visit, please arrive 5–10 minutes early to allow time for paperwork. If you have attended an appointment with us before and your contact details remain unchanged, simply arrive at your scheduled time.

Wear any clothes that you feel comfortable in, a two-piece outfit is ideal.

The best time is usually between days 5 and 10 of your period. But if needed, we can do the scan at other times outside of this time time frame, depending on your situation or why your doctor ordered it.

Oasis Imaging provides a range of ultrasound scans and procedures. Your referring doctor will have chosen the most suitable option for you. If you have any questions or concerns about the examination you’ve been scheduled for, please reach out to our helpful team or contact your referring specialist for further details.

We ask you to drink water before your ultrasound as a full bladder allows better penetration of ultrasound waves, resulting in a clearer picture and greater diagnostic accuracy. However, if your bladder feels overfull, please let us know, in some cases, we can allow you to release some fluid so you are more comfortable.

The level of discomfort experienced can vary depending on the specific examination or procedure. Some people may experience mild discomfort or cramping similar to period pain. Our specialist team are attentive and will try to keep you comfortable during your appointment.

Most women who have had a HyCoSy report that the procedure was not as uncomfortable as they had expected it to be.

Preparing for a scrotal ultrasound is simple. We recommended wearing loose comfortable clothing and remove any jewellery or metal objects in the area. You may be offered a gown to wear for the duration of the scan. The scan itself is painless and non-invasive. The entire process usually takes about 15 to 30 minutes, and you can return to your regular activities immediately afterwards.

Oasis Imaging operates as a privately billing practice. The cost of each service depends on the type and complexity of the scan, as well as the applicable Medicare rebate. Oasis Imaging requires payment for your scan on the day of your appointment. If any additional procedures are needed unexpectedly, we will discuss the costs with you beforehand. We accept Visa and MasterCard credit and debit cards (EFTPOS). Please note, we do not accept American Express cards due to high merchant fees, and we are unable to process cash or cheque payments. Bulk billing is not available.
